Summary of the talk:
Many large multinational companies are starting to harness the power of serious games for corporate training, consumer outreach, and other applications.
This presentation will cover some of the past, present, and future uses of such games, including a European premiere demonstration of the brand new Cisco Mind Share Game. This game was built by award-winning game developers in cooperation with Cisco Systems Inc. to provide compelling and enjoyable training for their CCENT certification program, as a complement to book, laboratory, and classroom instruction.
The demonstration and talk will illustrate how principles of good game design and sound educational theory can combine to provide a learning experience adapted to the modern work force.
